Resources for Supporting Immigrant Families

There are many groups local to Athens, Georgia that are organizing, educating and activating our community to the emergent needs of our immigrant neighbors.

Here are a few ways that you can get in involved:

Print Red Cards

Make a donation to Support For Immigrant Families In Crisis (SIFIC)

Volunteer with Athens Immigrants Rights Coalition

Interested in canvassing?

At least once a week, several locals get together at different locations around Athens to go door to door, distributing Red Cards and other literature to inform our neighbors about their constitutional rights and to help prepare folks for interactions with ICE. If you’d like to join these efforts, please reach out to Jami Mays and she will relay details on upcoming canvassing opportunities.

It’s so important that every immigrant in our community is confident in exercising their rights — the best way to ensure this happens is to SHARE this knowledge with everyone. Below, you will find several resources that you can print and keep handy for distribution!
